We all know we NEED to drink 8 glasses of water every day MINIMUM but some days that is easier said than done. You are a well-oiled machine, and in order for that machine to keep running, you need to fill it up with water! We know that there are probably a few other things you’d rather be drinking, but water is what runs you! So, we have some great tips that will help you get your 8 glasses a day, while adding a little more razzle dazzle to it.

  1. Buy a water bottle you like

    What more motivation do you need than drinking water out of a bottle that you love? Drinking water will be so much more enjoyable if you invest in a water bottle that inspires you to get your 8 glasses a day.

  2. Add fruit pieces to your water

    Add a little natural flavour to your water with pieces of fruit! Be it lemon, strawberries, mint, or whatever taste you love, this will help you drink lots of water, and makes it taste good. Another plus, it infuses the fruits’ nutrients into your water!

  3. Put all 8 glasses into one jug

    When you can visualize your goal, it might make it easier to drink all your water. Start the day off by putting all 8 glasses into one jug. Then you know how much water you need to drink throughout the day.

  4. Drink a glass of water every time you feel hungry, and before you eat

    Make it a habit of drinking water every time you eat – before breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as every snack time throughout the day! This will help schedule out your eight glasses.

  5. Try drinking carbonated water

    If you have a Soda Stream, carbonate your water to make it more fun! Or, on your next grocery stopping outing, pick up a case of flavoured carbonated water.

  6. Keep your water bottle nearby

    If you’re near your water bottle throughout the day, it’ll make it easier to hydrate throughout the day.

  7. If you finish your water bottle, fill it up immediately

    Always keep your bottle full of water. If you finish, go fill it back immediately and you’ll always be able to easily keep hydrated throughout the day.

  8. Reward yourself when you reach your goals

    When you reach your daily goal, give yourself a treat for getting your daily water intake. Watch some Netflix, have a little bit of your favourite food, or whatever else will motivate you to hydrate!
