With summer here, that means hot days and even hotter Cars! We have been under some heat warnings for the past few weeks! This gets pretty hot for us, but even hotter for our pets!

The Ontario SPCA wants to remind pet owners about the dangers of leaving pets unattended in vehicles. Parked in the shade and windows open, vehicles can get pretty hot, FAST! Dogs have a limited ability to sweat, which means a short time in a hot car can be very dangerous!

Hockey legend Don Cherry is urging people to get involved and making sure you take action if you see a pet in a car!

The Ontario SPCA wants you to share your thoughts and express your feelings on the dangers of leaving pets in vehicles by using the hashtag #nohotpets on social media!

If you do see a pet in a hot car, call the police or the Ontario SPCA!

#nohotpets
